Communication with non-experts is considered a very important skill for the 21st centuryengineer/scientist. An important group of such non-experts, paradoxically, usually include research funders. Therefore, ‘selling’ your work to such ‘critical outsiders’ is an important skill to have, making the skill to interact with non-experts indispensable. In this practical workshop, you learn how to present your work in a popular way, understandable also by people without the same training as you have. Topics include:
- Differences in academic and popular (journalistic) writing
- Making your work interesting for non-experts
- Structure
