When you write a funding application, it increasingly includes a narrative resume. These narrative resumes fit the trend of recognizing and valuing scholars differently.
In a narrative resume, you can go beyond research accomplishments: you can also highlight your knowledge, experience and other relevant things. But how do you approach writing such a resume? How do you make it more than just a written summary, and how do you highlight the right things?
During this practical module, participants will work on their narrative resume.
They will gain insight into how to highlight their strengths and showcase themselves as a person. They also apply the principles from ‘scientific storytelling’ to turn it into a compelling story. In addition, attention is paid to the do’s and don’ts of structure and writing style.
At the end of the module, participants will have a strong first version of their narrative resume.
